Laboratory Analyst with a focus on GC-MS at A Analys AB

Location: Nynäsvägen 299, 12234 Enskede

Scope: Full-time

Employment Type: Permanent with probationary period

About us

A Analys AB is a specialized laboratory that analyzes hazardous substances such as BTEX, PAH, Lead, Asbestos, Mold, and Radon. We work with high precision and quality to ensure reliable analyses for our clients in the construction, environmental, and industrial sectors. We are now looking for a meticulous and dedicated laboratory analyst with experience in GC-MS to strengthen our team.

Responsibilities

As a laboratory analyst with us, you will:

  • Perform analyses using GC-MS of volatile organic compounds (VOC), BTEX, and PAH.
  • Prepare samples through extraction, derivatization, and other sample preparation techniques.
  • Ensure that analyses are conducted according to established standards and quality requirements.
  • Interpret analysis results and report and invoice them.
  • Be responsible for instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of GC-MS equipment.
  • Work according to accredited quality procedures (ISO 17025).

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An academic degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, or equivalent.
  • Chemist, analytical chemist, or equivalent – Degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, or related fields (e.g., bachelor's or master's degree) or laboratory technician education with a focus on instrumental analysis.
  • Practical experience working with GC-MS in a laboratory.
  • Knowledge of sample preparation and extraction techniques.
  • Understanding of laboratory work according to quality systems such as ISO 17025.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meticulously.
  • Requirement for good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

Meritorious

  • Experience in analyzing hazardous substances such as BTEX, PAH, or similar.
  • Knowledge of HPLC and other analytical techniques.
  • Experience in method development and validation of analyses.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (OpenLab CDS).
