Job Responsibilities

Regionfastigheter will develop hospital areas in Halland over the next 20 years, which means an increase in area of approximately 50%.

To achieve this mission, we are looking for someone who is passionate about energy issues, new technology, and smart choices. As an energy engineer with us, you will work both strategically and operationally within the organization. In this role, you will participate early in our projects to set energy requirements for the project together with property managers and the project organization. You will also follow up on projects through analysis of energy statistics, energy efficiency, LCC calculations, energy declarations, and energy calculations. You will be a requirements setter in new construction and an initiator of new technology and energy-saving measures in our existing properties. The role involves developing guidelines and goals for energy issues to fulfill Region Halland's action plan for climate and environmental work and acting as a support resource in these matters within the department.

You will also be responsible for developing work on energy issues within the Region's property portfolio and following up on technical operations supported by the operational agreement. In your role, you will also participate in energy and sustainability forums, both internal and external, as well as participate in forums for energy-saving measures together with the operations organization. You will seek various types of municipal grants and ensure that these are procured and reported correctly.

About the Workplace

You will work at Regionfastigheter, a part of the Region Office's finance department. We are primarily responsible for construction, management, and leasing issues. This means that we actively support the region's operations with functional, purposeful, and sustainable premises and adapted infrastructure.

Regionfastigheter consists of three departments: Construction and Projects, Management, and Systems and Technology. You will be part of the Systems and Technology department. Currently, the department has 8 other engineers in various fields. We are expanding the department with an energy engineer and an environmental engineer. Other competencies at Regionfastigheter include project managers, property managers, technical managers, and document coordinators. We work based on activity and have several different locations in Halland, but our largest office is on Fredriksvallsgatan in Halmstad. There is an opportunity for remote work, but the work is preferably conducted on-site with direct contact with suppliers and customers.

Our operations can also be expressed in properties and square meters; we manage, among other things, health centers, hospitals, schools, dental and psychiatric clinics. A total of approximately 440,000 square meters plus about 150,000 square meters of leased contracts throughout Halland.

Regionfastigheter is facing significant changes due to the political decision on a new hospital structure, local supply in Halland, and work is underway to document our processes and routines. Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant university degree or equivalent work experience that the employer considers equivalent.

You should have a good understanding of the construction, installation, and property industry concerning energy issues. You need to have experience in the operation and maintenance of properties or equivalent, as well as experience in both participating and acting as a requirements setter in projects. Experience with LOU and work with energy optimization, energy savings, and LCC calculations are also necessary components for the position.

If you have knowledge of energy declarations, energy efficiency, energy calculations, and environmental certifications such as Miljöbyggnad, it is considered an advantage. Experience working with Momentum and energy measurement, as well as a process-oriented working method and procurement procedure, is also valuable.

A driving license (B) is required as travel across the county is included in your work.
