At Ringhals, we constantly work to develop our operations and our working methods to meet the demands that customers and the external environment place on us, which is why we see individual development as a significant part of the company's future. With us, you are offered personal development in a workplace with many opportunities.

About the Role

Are you a recent graduate in the field of technology and engineering? With us, there are good opportunities to broaden your knowledge. Read more about the development opportunities in the role further down in the ad.

This is the job:

If you become a process operator with us, your employment will begin with comprehensive operational and process-oriented internal training aimed at the Ringhals facility. You will learn both the theoretical foundations and follow a shift team for practical moments at the facility.

After the training, you will become an important part of a shift team consisting of just over 25 people, all of whom have different roles in the work. The shift teams are responsible for the operational management and supervision of the Ringhals facility, and together you ensure that the facility produces electricity in all weather conditions. You will work according to a rotating shift schedule where the shifts are evenly distributed between morning, afternoon, and night. During a shift period, you will work both weekdays and weekends, and the period ends with a longer break.

Your tasks as a process operator include, among others:

  • Process monitoring from the local control room
  • Inspection of turbine and reactor systems
  • Conducting periodic tests of turbine and reactor systems
  • Performing shutdowns and restorations of system components
  • Establishing and updating operational instructions
  • Participating in training and retraining

Requirements Specification

This is you:

Are you interested in power and heat, electricity, control and regulation technology, or how a nuclear power plant works? Then you are the one we are looking for!

Since you will be working closely with various positions in your shift team, it is also important that you can build good relationships and see collaboration as a success factor. As the nature of the work can change quickly and sometimes become stressful, it is essential that you can remain calm and focused on the task. During certain shifts, the pace may also be slower, so we see that you have the ability to identify what needs to be done, take on the task, and drive the work forward.

Qualifications:

  • Completed upper secondary education from a technical or natural science high school. Alternatively, you have an equivalent level of education through other studies. Approved grades in the following upper secondary courses or equivalent:
  1. Chemistry A, Physics B, Mathematics D (according to the old curriculum)
  2. Chemistry 1, Physics 2, Mathematics 3c (according to the new curriculum)
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, as well as reading comprehension
