Roslagsbanan is expanding and we are looking for new Train Drivers who want to help develop our operations. You will receive paid training with us and a secure employment with good conditions. A Train Driver on Roslagsbanan has an important mission to drive the trains safely, comfortably, and punctually for our passengers. You will maintain ongoing contact with traffic controllers and other colleagues, informing them about your driving and receiving support in various situations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and the trains operate according to schedule. The positions are full-time and have a schedule that varies between day, night, and weekend.

If you are accepted as a Train Driver, you will be offered a probationary employment in connection with the start of our four-month long driver training. After successful completion of the training, you will begin your role as a Train Driver on Roslagsbanan. We offer secure employment conditions according to collective agreements and additional benefits such as wellness grants.

Roslagsbanan has about 300 employees and is part of Transdev Sweden AB. We operate three railway lines from Östra Station out towards Northern Stockholm and Roslagen with terminal stations in Kårsta, Österskär, and Näsbypark. We work around the clock and transport about 55,000 passengers every day.

We are looking for you who:

• are at least 20 years old (Requirement according to Law 2011:725 regarding qualifications for train drivers)
• master the Swedish language very well in both spoken and written form

We place great importance on your personal qualities:

• Responsible: It is important that train drivers are reliable and meticulous as they have a significant responsibility for passenger safety and punctuality.
• High safety awareness: A high safety awareness ensures that the work is performed professionally and with safety in focus in all situations.
• Concentration and stress resilience: The work can involve unexpected situations, but you maintain concentration, are attentive, and act correctly.
• Independence: Train drivers work alone and need to make decisions independently and responsibly, even though there is close communication with traffic management.
• Good communication skills: You collaborate effectively with colleagues and can communicate clearly with passengers and traffic management.

It is a big plus (but not a must) if you have:

• a completed degree from a train driver training program and a valid train driver license
• previous experience as a train driver or locomotive engineer
• a keen interest in technology and mechanics as the job involves handling and understanding technical equipment

We look forward to your application and use various methods to get to know you and understand your personal qualities better. Selected candidates will take an initial selection test online. This will be followed by personal interviews and occupational psychological tests designed according to the requirements of the Swedish Transport Agency. You must also meet the health requirements of the Swedish Transport Agency, which means you will undergo a traffic medical examination and demonstrate that you have no issues with alcohol or drugs.
