In Östersund, we currently have 11 employees. Ottobock Care in Östersund has a comprehensive responsibility for orthopedic technical services and aids within the Region of Jämtland Härjedalen. We currently work with all types of orthopedic technical aids, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with the rest of the healthcare system, including teamwork. We have high ambitions to profile ourselves within orthopedic technology and to continue to refine our operations.
About the position
As a Licensed Orthopedic Engineer with us, you will work together with your colleagues to increase the quality of life for people with injuries/disabilities by improving their mobility and independence. We work with all types of orthopedic technical aids, from orthopedic shoes and insoles to orthoses and prosthetics. The foundation of our operations is the collaboration with other healthcare personnel and the teamwork that takes place within child/adult rehabilitation, prosthetic reception, foot and ankle injuries, and diabetes teams for foot ulcer treatment.

The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Östersund. Start date according to agreement. Working hours are according to schedule, daytime. We have a collective agreement which means that you are covered by collectively agreed insurances. Travel in the job may occur.

If you are newly graduated from the Orthopedic Engineering program, you will have the opportunity to participate in a 2-year introduction program with us. About you
We are looking for someone who is a trained Licensed Orthopedic Engineer. A license and degree from the orthopedic engineering program in Jönköping or equivalent is a requirement for your application to be processed. Exceptions apply to those who are newly graduated and have not yet received a license from the National Board of Health and Welfare. It is advantageous if you have several years of clinical experience in the orthopedic technical field. Other requirements include good computer skills and an awareness of the rules and regulations that apply to handling patients within healthcare. You must be fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing and have a good command of English.
A professional approach towards customers, suppliers, and partners is a given for you in your professional role. You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. In collaboration with others, you contribute knowledge and experience while being attentive and respectful, always considering the group's best interests. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work while meeting deadlines. At the same time, you easily adapt to new circumstances and can quickly change your approach. You see opportunities in change.
