Opinion Situation in Sweden: Kantar-Sifo Presents New Figures

It's time once again to take a look at the political temperature in Sweden, and the latest poll from Kantar-Sifo has just been released. This time, the figures show both stability and change among the Swedish parties.

The Social Democrats Continue to Dominate

The Social Democrats consolidate their position as the largest party in Sweden with 35.60%, a marginal increase from the previous measurement where they were at 35.50%. This demonstrates continued stability and strength for the party, which in previous surveys from both Indicator and Inizio in May was at 35.40%.

The Center and Christian Democrats Increase

One of the most notable changes in the latest survey is the Center Party's rise to 4.80% from previously 3.60%. This increase of 1.20 percentage points can be seen as a positive trend for the party, which in Demoskop's measurement from April was at the same level. The Christian Democrats also show a strong increase to 4.40% from 3.40%, which may indicate a recovery and increased confidence among voters.

The Moderates Lose Support

On the other hand, the Moderates see a decline in support, now at 18.10% compared to previously 20.30%. This is a continuation of a downward trend where they in Indicator's and Inizio's measurements earlier in May were at 21.10%. It remains to be seen if this trend will continue moving forward.

Stability for Other Parties

The Left Party remains stable at 7.60%, unchanged from previous measurements. The Green Party sees a slight decline to 5.70% from 5.90%, but remains at the same level as in previous measurements from both Indicator and Inizio. The Liberals have not seen any change and remain at 2.80%.

The Sweden Democrats Show Continued Strength

The Sweden Democrats continue to show strength with 18.90%, a slight increase from previously 18.70%. This stability is in line with previous measurements where they have been around 18-19% and in some cases over 20%.

Conclusion

The latest poll from Kantar-Sifo shows both stability and changes among the Swedish parties. The dominance of the Social Democrats persists, while both the Center and Christian Democrats see positive trends. However, the decline of the Moderates is one of the most notable changes. The political landscape continues to be dynamic, and it will be interesting to see how these trends develop going forward.
