Fresh Poll Numbers from Demoskop: Social Democrats Rise, Left Party Declines

Demoskop has today released its latest opinion poll which shows interesting changes in the political landscape. The Social Democrats continue to gain popularity while the Left Party is experiencing a decline. At the same time, minor changes are noted among several other parties.

Social Democrats on the March

The Social Democrats have increased from 31.50% in July to 33.70% in the latest measurement. This is a significant increase of 2.2 percentage points, which can be seen as a sign that the party's policies and leadership are gaining ground with voters. Compared to other measurements during the year, such as Ipsos at the end of August where they received 32.00%, it is clear that the trend is upward.

Left Party Loses Ground

On the other hand, the Left Party has dropped to 8.50% from previously 9.40%. This decline is in line with the latest Ipsos poll where they were noted at 9.00%. It is a clear sign that the party needs to work on its strategy to regain lost votes.

Green Party and Center Party Remain Steady

The Green Party and the Center Party have not seen any major changes. The Green Party has slightly decreased from 6.80% to 6.10%, while the Center Party remains at a similar level as before with 4.40% compared to 4.50% in July. Both parties seem to have stabilized their positions, but without any significant growth.

Minor Changes for the Moderates and Christian Democrats

The Moderates show a small increase from 19.10% to 19.50%, which is in line with their results in other surveys, such as Verian in September where they got 20.30%. The Christian Democrats have increased from 3.10% to 3.80%, which can be seen as a positive development for the party.

Challenges for the Sweden Democrats and Liberals

The Sweden Democrats have decreased slightly, from 20.30% to 19.60%, which may indicate some uncertainty among their voters. The Liberals continue to struggle with low numbers and are now at 2.70%, a decrease from 3.10% in July. These parties face the challenge of regaining the trust of their voters.

Historical Trends and Future Perspectives

Looking back at previous measurements, such as the SCB in June where the Social Democrats got 35.00%, it is clear that they have held a strong position throughout the year. The Left Party, however, has had a more varying development, with peaks and troughs as in Ipsos June where they reached 10.00%.

The political landscape is constantly changing and it will be interesting to see how the parties will adjust their strategies for the upcoming election campaigns. With these new figures from Demoskop, it is clear that the Social Democrats have the wind in their sails, while other parties may need to reevaluate their campaigns to strengthen their positions.
