Latest Sentio Opinion Poll: No Changes in Party Support

On August 4, 2024, Sentio released its latest opinion poll, and the results show stability with no changes in party support compared to the previous measurement. Here are the current figures:

  • Left Party: 9.20% (unchanged)
  • Social Democrats: 31.30% (unchanged)
  • Green Party: 7.10% (unchanged)
  • Center Party: 4.80% (unchanged)
  • Liberals: 3.60% (unchanged)
  • Moderate Party: 18.50% (unchanged)
  • Christian Democrats: 3.70% (unchanged)
  • Sweden Democrats: 20.80% (unchanged)

Stability in Opinion Polls

The latest measurement from Sentio shows an unusual stability in the opinion polls. All parties have exactly the same support as in the previous Sentio measurement from July 12, 2024. This is interesting considering the fluctuations often observed in opinion polls.

Comparison with Previous Measurements

To put today's results into perspective, we can look at previous measurements from other institutes:

Date Institute Left Party Social Democrats Green Party Center Party Liberals Moderate Party Christian Democrats Sweden Democrats
2024-06-12 SCB 8.20% 35.00% 5.20% 4.50% 3.20% 19.80% 2.80% 19.50%
2024-06-29 Indicator 9.90% 31.00% 7.20% 5.30% 3.70% 19.20% 3.70% 18.60%
2024-06-21 Ipsos 10.00% 33.00% 6.00% 6.00% 3.00% 18.00% 4.00% 19.00%

Analysis of the Opinion Situation

This stability could indicate that voters are satisfied with the status quo, or that there are no major political events that could influence opinion. Compared to other institutes like SCB and Ipsos, which often show greater variations, Sentio's measurements appear more stable.

The Social Democrats continue to be the largest party with 31.30%, which is lower than in some other measurements but still a stable figure. The Sweden Democrats remain at 20.80%, which is consistent with their results in other measurements, even though they sometimes reach over 22%.

Future Projections

It will be interesting to see if this stability continues moving forward, or if we will see changes as we approach the election year. Given the political dynamics in Sweden, it is difficult to predict, but today's measurement provides a clear picture of a stable opinion situation.

In summary, the latest opinion poll from Sentio shows unusual stability in party support, which may indicate a period of political calm in Sweden.
