We are now looking for a Specialist Physician or Senior Consultant in Clinical Pathology based in Malmö. The Area of Operations (VO) Clinical Genetics, Pathology and Molecular Diagnostics has over 400 employees and consists of three sections comprising the medical specialties of Clinical Genetics and Clinical Pathology, as well as the method area/platform Molecular Diagnostics. Our operations are characterized by very strong development, both regarding technical and medical possibilities and an increasing demand for our diagnostics.

We have Clinical Pathology operations in Lund, Malmö, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad, while Clinical Genetics and Molecular Diagnostics are primarily located in Lund. We conduct both basic diagnostics and highly specialized diagnostics, providing special competence and consultation expertise within the Southern Healthcare Region. Our operations also include the Centre for Rare Diagnoses (CSD). We have a close collaboration with Lund University, and several of our employees conduct successful research related to the operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Our diagnostics are driven and developed in 18 processes, histological diagnostics are performed via digital imaging, and the digitization of cytological diagnostics is underway. Molecular pathology is a daily part of the pathologist's diagnostics, and analyses are carried out within the framework of the Laboratory Medicine Centre for Molecular Diagnostics. We actively participate in quality and care program work, both regionally and at the national level. We operate in areas that are accredited, with accompanying quality assurance of laboratory work, diagnostics, and document management.

Education of students, supervision of specialist trainees (ST-doctors), and research are part of our operations and therefore also part of your work as a specialist physician. We have a close collaboration with academia, including Lund University. QUALIFICATIONS

You, as an applicant, are a licensed physician with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in clinical pathology. Proficiency in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. You must have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision.

For employment as an Associate Consultant, you must also have full-time service of at least five years (documented effective time) and clinical proficiency as well as independence within clinical pathology. Furthermore, the following are required:

• Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area.
• Completed or planned clinical supervisor education.
• Documented teaching and supervisory merits.

For employment as a Senior Consultant, you must also have full-time service of at least five years (documented effective time) and clinical proficiency as well as independence within clinical pathology. Furthermore, the following are required:

• Defined medical responsibility and knowledge area.
• Completed or planned clinical supervisor education.
• Documented teaching and supervisory merits.
• Doctoral degree (Disputation).

At a university healthcare unit, physicians are required to have pedagogical experience and education. This can be acquired through supervising, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training, and as co-supervisor or main supervisor for doctoral candidates.
