Today, 30 employees work at the health center. We have approximately 7,200 registered patients and around 700 children at the Child Health Center (BVC). Hörby is a community with a rural character where you will encounter a wide variety of patients and complex medical decisions in your daily work.

Collaboration between professional groups is a natural part of our operations, and we work together to ensure our patients receive the right care at the right time. We have specialist clinics for elderly care, asthma/COPD, blood pressure, and diabetes, as well as a nurse-led clinic. Dietitians, rehab coordinators, occupational therapists, and a psychosocial team are also part of our operations. We have a well-functioning laboratory with experienced staff and the possibility for additional local analyses through our biomedical analyst. Additionally, we are the only health center in Skåne with its own warm-water pool in physiotherapy.

In the autumn of 2026, we will inaugurate our Family Center in completely new, fresh premises.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a specialist physician with us, you will work alongside other specialist physicians, resident doctors (ST), and newly graduated doctors (AT). Together with the other professional groups at the health center, you are responsible for investigating, treating, and following up on our patients. Supervision of ST, AT, and PT doctors may occur, as well as participation in quality and development work to contribute to maintaining high medical quality at the health center.

You will be provided with a laptop, so there is an opportunity for part of the work to be performed from home. In our spacious and generous premises, you will naturally have your own office where you can work undisturbed.

There is an opportunity to develop special interests such as minor surgery, dermatology/allergy clinic, geriatrics, or research.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you if you are a licensed physician authorized to practice in Swedish healthcare and have specialist competence in general medicine. Additionally, Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are required.
