Stockholm Cemetery Administration is the main authority for funeral services in the City of Stockholm. The administration conducts funeral and service operations with high ethical standards and is responsible for 12 cemeteries, 13 chapels, a ceremony building, and 2 crematoria with significant cultural and historical value.

The Cremation Unit consists of the city's two crematoria: the New Crematorium located at Skogskyrkogården (Woodland Cemetery) and Råcksta Crematorium located at Råcksta Cemetery.

We are now looking for an Operations Technician for the New Crematorium at Skogskyrkogården in Enskede. Here, you have the chance to work in a unique and exciting role with an important mission.

Your role

As an Operations Technician, you are part of a unit consisting of ten technicians and two operations managers distributed across the city's two crematoria. The unit is led by a unit manager. Your main task is to perform cremations, which involves managing the entire combustion process from incineration, flue gas cooling, and purification to taking action in case of alarms and abnormal operation. In this role, you also meet with relatives and funeral homes. Work may take place at both of the city's crematoria.

Other examples of tasks include:

• Performing tasks related to the handling of ashes and urns.
• Performing minor repairs or replacements of technical equipment.
• Local cleaning and maintenance of technical equipment.
• Transporting and stacking coffins.
• Expedition work and administration of tasks in the administration's system register for case management.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• Documented technical education, at least upper secondary level.
• Current experience in technical work.
• Good administrative skills.
• Good ability to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, orally and in writing.
• Good computer skills.
• Category B driver's license.

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience from the cremation industry.
• Cremation technical education.
• Furnace operator certification category 2–4.
