About Us

Do you want to make a difference in an organization where purchasing impacts the entire public benefit? We are now looking for an operational buyer. Here, you will become part of a modern category-managed purchasing team where you will work with purchasing and procurement for operations in Region Sörmland and Region Västmanland.

Region Sörmland, together with Region Västmanland, has a joint purchasing function responsible for all procurement and purchasing services for both regions. The purchasing operations consist of two units with approximately 45 employees and procure annually for approximately 9 billion SEK. Purchasing has the mandate to act as a business support, responsible for drawing up contracts, negotiation, contract follow-up, etc.

The mandate of Purchasing is to streamline, develop the business-like nature of the regions' purchasing, and support the healthcare and other core operations' purchasing.

Within the Purchasing Service unit, operational buyers and e-commerce employees work. The mandate of Purchasing Service is primarily to provide daily support and assistance to operations in various types of purchasing questions and support in placing orders.

We are now looking for an operational buyer for Purchasing Service.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities as an operational buyer include helping the regions' operations with placing orders with our suppliers. Directing and referring purchases to agreed products and procured suppliers.

Another major part of the responsibilities involves carrying out investment orders and direct procurements, so it is good if you have experience from similar purchasing organizations.

The work also includes providing support to operations via both phone and email. The work also involves purchasing administration such as diary registration, registry maintenance in our ordering systems, and support for our strategic buyers.

Your Qualifications

To succeed in your role as an operational buyer, we are looking for you with purchasing education or alternatively that you have acquired experience in handling orders, following up on deliveries, and ensuring that goods and services are ordered according to the operation's needs. You have a good ability to provide professional service and handle customer and supplier contacts.

You have knowledge of the Public Procurement Act and possess good administrative skills and experience working in business and purchasing systems.

You also have basic accounting knowledge, such as invoice management and order matching.

Meritorious is experience of public purchasing as well as experience in Agresso and/or Proceedo. Meritorious is also a background in the healthcare sector.

You work carefully and systematically and take responsibility for tasks being performed with high quality. Furthermore, you have a service-oriented approach and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues. You also have the ability to prioritize and organize your work based on the operation's needs and can handle varying tasks at times at a high pace.

Employment Type

Permanent, full-time. Possible locations are Västerås, Eskilstuna, Nyköping, or Katrineholm. Start date and location by agreement.
