Registered Occupational Therapist for Day Rehabilitation in Gävle

The Primary Care Business Area is a newly established business area within Region Gävleborg with a county-wide mandate. Day Rehabilitation and Psychotherapy offer cross-professional rehabilitation measures and structured psychotherapy for adult patients. Within day rehabilitation, patients with stroke, neurological disease/injury, or traumatic brain injury are offered individual and group-based training. The team consists of an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech therapist, and rehabilitation assistant.

We are now looking for a registered occupational therapist for the day rehabilitation unit in Gävle, Södertull, who wants to become part of our dedicated team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will work closely with everyone in the team. The work involves both individual meetings with patients and group sessions. All patients have their own rehabilitation plan, and the facilities enable rehabilitation in daily activities.

As an occupational therapist with us, you will work among other things with:

• Assessment
• Treatment/training/planning of continued activities and follow-up
• Activity training in society based on needs

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who work well together with other people and who have an interest in neurological rehabilitation. You are sensitive, communicative, and solve challenging situations in a constructive way while being able to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. Since you have a good understanding of people's different prerequisites, you can also adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. Furthermore, you are structured and can plan and prioritize your work so that it fits the rest of the operations. It is important that you enjoy working in a team as this is a significant and major part of our working method.

In the role of occupational therapist, you must:

• Be a registered occupational therapist.

For this position, it is meritorious if you have experience in rehabilitation work related to neurological injury/disease.
