We are now looking for a Systems Engineer in Ammunition Surveillance

Do you have experience with various types of weapon systems as well as ammunition, and do you want to drive the work in ammunition surveillance forward? Do you want to work on tasks that ensure we contribute to making Sweden and the world safer? Then you might be the person we are looking for.

About the role

As a Systems Engineer in ammunition surveillance, you play a key role in ensuring that the Swedish Armed Forces' ammunition is safe, reliable, and usable throughout its entire lifecycle. Through your work, you contribute to strengthening Sweden's defense capability.

In this role, you are responsible for planning, executing, and following up on safety technical controls and testing of ammunition. You work closely with the Swedish Armed Forces, FOI (Defence Research Agency), and other parts of FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration), contributing technical expertise in ammunition surveillance.

You follow the work through the entire process – from planning and sampling to analysis, documentation, and reporting. The work combines physically demanding, practical tasks with technical assessments.

You will become part of an experienced and competent team where collaboration, safety, and quality are in focus. Together, you will work to develop and maintain the competence and capabilities required to meet the needs of the Swedish Armed Forces, both today and in the future.

The position is located in Karlsborg. Travel is a natural part of the role.

About you

We are looking for you who have a relevant post-secondary education or equivalent competence acquired in another way. You have good ability to communicate orally and in writing in both Swedish and English, hold a B-driving license, and have good knowledge of the Office package.

It is meritorious if you have education within the Swedish Armed Forces, for example, completed conscription. Good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' equipment and ways of working is also meritorious. We would appreciate it if you have education in ADR, AMRÖJ, FEX, or IFTEX. If you have a forklift license, we see this as an advantage.

We view it positively if you have education and experience with different types of ammunition and weapon systems. It is also meritorious if you have experience in practical work with different types of ammunition.

To succeed in the role, we would appreciate that you have experience working with risk management, risk analysis, and risk calculations. Relevant experience from the defense sector and good knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT system LIFT is a plus.

We also see that you are stable and keep your cool even in pressured situations. You have the ability to focus on what is important, maintain a realistic perspective, and drive your tasks forward with engagement and responsibility.
