About Us

Clinical Genetics and Genomics at Sahlgrenska University Hospital has approximately 130 employees, including doctors, hospital geneticists, biomedical analysts, and bioinformaticians. The Centre for Medical Genomics, part of the operations, performs genetic analysis within the Region of Västra Götaland and analyses for researchers. These analyses make it possible to diagnose hereditary diseases and identify genetic changes in cancer tumors used for treatment selection. The operations are characterized by change work, development of working methods and new knowledge, as well as recurring cross-functional projects.

Job Responsibilities

The operations are developing rapidly and are simultaneously facing significant changes, not least the introduction of several digital systems, technology platforms, and system integrations.

We are looking for you with an interest in natural sciences/healthcare and system knowledge from a user perspective, who wants to lead us through these changes and actively contribute to new ways of working.

We are looking for a person who, against set goals, initiates, drives, coordinates, and implements the operation's work in current processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and patient safety. The work takes place close to employees throughout the organization and covers issues ranging from laboratory technical to strategic.

About You

We are looking for you with a five-year university or college education in a suitable field, such as a civil engineer or biologist, preferably with experience in healthcare/diagnostics and natural sciences/technology. You have an interest in system implementation and administrative processes and can simplify and pedagogically approach these, and are happy to spread working methods to colleagues. You are interested in learning new areas and are not afraid to act operationally yourself when required. You are accustomed to leading employees and managers through change. You express yourself well in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English.

You have a genuine interest in and experience in project management, process development, and operational development.

You have an engaged and positive work approach, appreciate complex environments, and move effortlessly between different knowledge areas. As a person, you are courageous, unpretentious, and explorative. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
