Workplace Description

Spånga Gymnasium is a small, pleasant upper secondary school with approximately 350 students. Here you will find dedicated staff and low staff turnover. The school is idyllically located in the Solhem residential area, and you can easily get to school by commuter train or bus. We offer a wide range of educational programs, such as the Nature and Animal Science Programme, the Natural Science Programme, the Social Science Programme, as well as IMS (Language Introduction), IMY-NB (Vocational Introduction NB), and an adapted upper secondary school with the national programs SMD (Forest, Land, Animal) and FB (Property, Construction).

Job Description

We are looking for a substitute animal caretaker on a full-time basis, starting in August for one year.

The main task is the daily care of the school's animals and facilities at Spånga Gymnasium, as well as instructing students in common tasks and duties of an animal caretaker.

We work in work teams with joint responsibility for the planning and development of the education. In teaching, we strive to integrate different fields of knowledge as much as possible and to collaborate regarding the students' overall knowledge development. The position involves weekend work.

Qualifications

You are a trained animal caretaker from the Nature and Animal Science Programme or similar, and have completed the basic course in medication handling (D9).

We also see that you have experience working with tropical animals as well as experience working at a school with the Nature and Animal Science Programme and these variations of animals.
