About S:t Iliansskolan

S:t Iliansskolan is a grades 4-9 school located in central Enköping near the transport hub. The atmosphere in the school is warm and caring, as well as creative and positive for learning. Job Responsibilities

As a special education teacher, you work largely directly with students. Your work with students may involve both extra adjustments and special support individually, in small groups, or in the classroom. You collaborate closely with the school's special educator and other special education teachers. These are linked to their own work teams where you are the link between the work team and the student health team. As needed and in collaboration with the student health service and teachers, you are responsible for pedagogical assessments. You contribute to finding aids as well as alternative teaching materials and methods to create good learning environments at our school.

We assume that you see each student from a holistic perspective. Your assignment includes driving an inclusive approach where students, as far as possible, can receive their support within the framework of the class. We want a learning environment adapted to the student's needs.

You also work with mapping and observations of both individual students and groups. You conduct pedagogical assessments, design adjustments and action plans, or alternatively support educators in parts of this. The position also includes mentorship where you are a mentor in a class together with another educator.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a special education degree with a focus on language, writing, and reading development or mathematical development.

You have good pedagogical ability and are skilled at motivating and inspiring our students. Finding the keys to each student's learning is something that motivates you especially. Naturally, you have a positive approach and meet students, guardians, and colleagues with competence and warmth. You are structured, flexible, and solution-focused.

You are accustomed to working with various mapping materials and methods for analyzing student needs. You can plan and lead the work with mappings and assessments of students' need for special support and function as support in the implementation of interventions at both individual, group, and school levels. You have good knowledge of digital tools and other compensatory aids which you pass on to our educators.

You have good references from previous employers.
