About Upsala Simsällskap
Founded in 1796, Upsala Simsällskap is the world's oldest swimming club. Every week, we meet hundreds of children and young people in our activities, and the Technique School is a crucial part of the swimmers' continued development towards training and competition. Here, safety, quality, community, and development are at the center.
Why you should choose us
Here, you have the opportunity to make a real difference for children and young people every week. As the lead coach, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and development of the Technique School's activities. You lead swimmers and assistant coaches, follow the swimmers' progress, and ensure a safe, structured, and inspiring training environment.
The role offers you good opportunities to influence the continued development of the Technique School, and you will collaborate closely with the broad-based sports coordinator, swimming school coordinator, head coach, and club manager.
The position includes, among other things:
- planning, leading, and following up on technique training and local competitions
- coaching and inspiring children and young people
- leading, introducing, and supporting assistant coaches
- contributing to the quality and development of the operations
- maintaining contact with guardians
- handling certain administrative tasks
- collaborating with other coaches and operational managers
What we offer
Here, you will have a meaningful coaching role where you contribute to the development of children and young people every week. You will become part of a dedicated team with high competence and have the opportunity to develop through education, experience sharing, and close collaboration with the club's coaches and leaders. You will work in the newly built Uppsala Swimming Arena and become part of the world's oldest swimming club.
Employment
The position is a part-time temporary contract (30%) during autumn 2026, with a start date in mid-August or as agreed. The employment runs until December 11, 2026, and is paid a monthly salary. Working hours are irregular and primarily scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and weekends according to the schedule. Collective agreement with Arbetsgivaralliansen, industry agreement for sports.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you who want to develop both people and operations. You are a secure and engaged leader who finds it easy to create structure, build relationships, and inspire children and young people. You enjoy taking responsibility and have a genuine interest in swimming, learning, and club life.
To succeed in the role, we believe you:
- have experience in swimming, swimming instruction, or swimming training
