University Lecturer in Psychology 60%

Responsibilities

The position includes teaching in clinical psychology within CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), clinical supervision, and supervision related to assessment methods, as well as examination. Teaching responsibilities also include course and module management and course administration. The teaching is at the undergraduate and advanced levels within the areas of clinical psychology within CBT, behavioral medicine, health psychology, and psychology and health. The teaching may also include other components, depending on the applicant's competence and the department's needs.

Qualifications

According to Uppsala University's regulations for employment (AO), the person eligible to be appointed as a University Lecturer is one who has completed a university education with subject specialization and has documented pedagogical proficiency. The applicant must also have completed a higher education pedagogical education relevant to the activity, comprising at least ten weeks, or have equivalent knowledge. If there are special reasons, the higher education pedagogical education can be completed during the first two years of employment.

According to the university's regulations, it is also a general qualification requirement for teachers to have the personal qualities required to perform the job well, such as thoroughness, sensitivity, independence, and good collaboration skills.

The current position requires Swedish licensure as a psychologist with a specialization in CBT, as well as knowledge of behavioral medicine and health psychology. It is required that the pedagogical proficiency and professional competence are relevant to the subject content and tasks of the position. Documentation of the ability to teach in Swedish is required for eligibility.

Evaluation Criteria

In the selection among qualified applicants, weight will be placed equally on scientific and pedagogical proficiency. When assessing administrative proficiency, the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in an effective and purpose-adapted manner will be evaluated.

The University will primarily consider the candidate who, after a qualitative holistic assessment of competence and proficiency, is judged to have the best prerequisites for carrying out and developing current tasks and contributing to a positive development of the activity.

Personal circumstances (parental leave, part-time work due to childcare, union duties, military service, etc.) that can be credited to the applicant during merit evaluation should be stated in connection with the presentation of merits and experience.

About the Position

The position is fixed-term for 10–11 months. The extent is 60%. Individual salary setting applies. Start date by agreement. Location: Uppsala.
