Welcome to 9900 – The District Veterinarians' Emergency Hotline. Our team of around 30 employees is spread across the country and works together using digital tools. We are part of the District Veterinarians' emergency organization and provide service, security, and accessibility regardless of who calls.

Job Responsibilities

We are currently looking for three employees to strengthen our team at the 9900 emergency hotline. Two positions are full-time, and the work is performed during unsocial hours – primarily evenings and nights, weekdays, and weekends. We are also looking for one part-time employee for a weekend position at 50%. You will work from home, and contact with colleagues will be digital.

Your tasks will include answering incoming calls during on-call periods, coordinating cases with the rest of the emergency organization, and supporting the veterinarians on duty. 9900 also handles customs cases during unsocial hours. Some administrative duties may occur.

9900 is staffed during all unsocial hours, every day of the year, including weekends and major holidays. We work in teams but also independently, maintaining continuous contact with both animal owners and field staff.

As an employee in 9900, you are self-reliant and take responsibility for your tasks while also being a good team player who values collaboration. You are also skilled at making correct assessments and prioritizations and have no problem making decisions based on these, even in difficult situations or under time pressure.

You should enjoy being part of an event-driven operation and be able to adapt to what the situation requires. As a person, you easily put yourself in others' perspectives without taking over their emotions.

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education or equivalent knowledge.
• Training as an animal care worker level 2 to 3, or Licensed Veterinary Nurse, or alternatively, experience from animal healthcare that the employer deems equivalent.
• Very good computer skills and ability to use various computer systems.
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.
• Good oral and written skills in English.
• Work experience or experience from voluntary work in dealing with people in crisis.
• Work experience in jobs requiring simultaneous and empathetic skills, such as ambulance care, communication centers, customer service, or similar work deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience with the District Veterinarians' IT systems (Link, Abax, Unit4, Connect) is a plus.

Having previously been employed by or currently working for the District Veterinarians is an advantage.

Work Environment

Work in 9900 takes place remotely in a digital work environment. This requires an internet connection equivalent to at least fiber 10/10 Mbit/s, which is not provided by the employer.

Our working language is Swedish, and our services require that you master Swedish in both speech and writing.

We normally apply a 6-month probation period.
