About the Operations

The County Operations for Habilitation in Region Västernorrland consists of approximately 100 employees located in Sollefteå, Sundsvall, and Örnsköldsvik. We work in cross-professional teams with medical, neuropsychological, social, and pedagogical competence to meet the needs of children, young people, and adults with permanent disabilities. Our largest target groups are people with intellectual disabilities, autism, and cerebral palsy.

At the habilitation clinic in Sollefteå, there are two psychologist positions – one in the children's team and one in the combined youth/adult team. We are now looking for a new colleague for the youth/adult team.

Here you will find a workplace with close collaboration between professions. The team consists, among others, of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, and psychologists, and we also collaborate with habilitation doctors and nurses. You will have access to both internal and external supervision as well as opportunities for further education.

Flexible placement location (Sollefteå, Sundsvall, or Örnsköldsvik), but the work will be directed towards the Habilitation Clinic in Sollefteå. This means you will be present at the clinic in Sollefteå when meeting patients. There is an opportunity for remote work for part of the working hours.

The position of psychologist is a permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement.

Responsibilities

As a psychologist with us, you will, among other things:

• Conduct neuropsychological assessments of varying scope.
• Work with diagnostics, treatment, and support for our patients and their families.
• Contribute psychological expertise to the cross-professional team.
• Conduct consultations and training initiatives for staff groups.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and actors in the child's network.

As a psychologist in the team, you have a central role in contributing psychological expertise to the team's work. You work both independently and in close collaboration with other professional groups, and you have good opportunities to influence the organization of work as well as develop methods and approaches.

You will receive a tailored introduction based on experience and background, with support from colleagues and supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who

• Are a licensed psychologist.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Have experience working with people with disabilities.
• Have a valid B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you

• Have further education in neuropsychology.
• Have experience with NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) assessments.
