RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant at the day activity center, you meet our senior guests daily and contribute to creating days that are rich in content, secure, and meaningful.

Your responsibilities include planning, preparing, and conducting activities that stimulate participants' cognitive, physical, and social abilities. You motivate and support participants based on their individual conditions and needs, and actively work to create participation and community.

The role also involves preparing and serving meals, as well as providing support during meal times. Daily outdoor activities are a natural part of the operations. Care interventions, support in Activities of Daily Living (ADL), and delegated health care tasks are also part of the role.

You collaborate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals to ensure good and cohesive care. Documentation and follow-up are carried out according to current routines and legislation.

The goal of the operation is to

• promote participants' health, well-being, and quality of life
• maintain and stimulate cognitive, physical, and social functions for as long as possible
• create security through structure, continuity, and professional treatment
• counteract loneliness, isolation, and passivity
• strengthen the sense of coherence, identity, and participation.

The position is 85%.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are trained as a care assistant and have a genuine interest in working with older people.

You have:

• care assistant education
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• good computer skills and ability to document according to current routines
• ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working with people with dementia or cognitive impairment
• experience with day activity centers or other operations within elder care
• education in the field of dementia or person-centered care
