About Us

The Heart and Medicine Department is an inpatient ward where you will have the opportunity to work with patients with varying cardiological conditions as well as other medical diseases. We have 10 telemetry beds. As a nurse at the Heart and Medicine Department, you will experience a lot, challenges but also fantastic moments, a strong sense of community, and support from colleagues. The work is varied and developmental, giving you the chance to use your full competence while continuing to grow in your professional role. No work shift is the same as the other, and we help each other and work together for the best interests of the patients.

Your Responsibilities

As a nurse at the department, you work in a care team together with assistant nurses. You are responsible for advanced nursing care, medication, medical-technical procedures, and creating structure for daily planning, including ward rounds. The department has 18 care beds distributed across three care teams. As a nurse, you lead the nursing care and also collaborate closely with other professions such as doctors, discharge coordinators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and dietitians.

For your security and support, we have a charge nurse whose main task is to support and supervise all other staff in daily care work. This role is highly appreciated by both novice and experienced staff. Here, you get a broad foundation to stand on in your practice as a nurse.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a registered nurse. If you have experience working in inpatient care, we see it as meritorious, but it is not a requirement. To thrive with us, you prefer a varied work pace where no work shift is the same as the other. You are secure, stable, adapt easily to different situations, and have good collaboration skills. You plan, organize, and prioritize your workday for the best interests of the patients.

You have good empathy, are meticulous, and care about working with quality in a goal-oriented manner. You thrive being part of an interdisciplinary team with the patients in focus, where all professional groups learn from each other. You are curious, take initiative, and want to contribute to developing the operations.

As a new nurse at the Heart and Medicine Department, you are offered individual induction, whether you are new to the profession or have worked for a few years. Since you work in constant dialogue with patients and colleagues, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. In the selection process, we place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment

Permanent employment with start date according to agreement. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends.
