We are now looking for more dedicated nurses to join our team in pre- and postoperative care at the Anesthesia Clinic in Växjö – a place where competence, care, and advanced healthcare meet. Here, you will help create security for patients throughout their entire surgical journey – before, during, and after the procedure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse in our pre- and postoperative care, you are the hub of the patient's surgical journey. You create security and safety for patients both before and after the procedure, whether it involves day surgery or longer hospital stays. Your work includes, among other things:

• Preparation for surgery: Assessing health status, informing, and preparing day surgery patients.
• Postoperative care: Providing qualified care, pain relief, and support for both inpatients and day surgery patients.
• Monitoring and assessment: Following vital parameters, early detection, and action on complications caused by the procedure or anesthesia.
• Medication management: Administering medications and treatments according to orders with a focus on patient safety.
• Documentation & reporting: Meticulously documenting care efforts and reporting changes in the patient's condition.
• Interprofessional collaboration: Working closely with doctors, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare staff to create a holistic view and a secure care plan.

We offer a thorough introduction with individual training and close support in your new role. Working hours are mainly Monday to Friday, but weekend duties occur.
