The HR and Communications Department consists of four units: Communications Unit, HR Development, HR Service, and Staffing and Recruitment Unit.

The Staffing and Recruitment Unit is a municipal-wide unit for staffing and recruitment. The unit works to provide good conditions so that Gävle Municipality's core operations can perform their work in the best possible way.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an HR Consultant specializing in recruitment at the Staffing and Recruitment Unit, you play a central role in Gävle Municipality's competence supply. You are responsible for recruiting both temporary substitutes and permanent employees, working through the entire recruitment process from needs analysis and advertising to selection, interviews, reference checks, and appointment.

You have a special coordinating responsibility for the recruitment of substitutes within the Education sector and contribute to larger volume recruitments by coordinating and distributing work within the recruitment group. In this role, you have many contact points and collaborate closely with the group manager, HR colleagues, principals, managers, as well as other internal and external actors to ensure efficient and high-quality recruitment processes.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Being responsible for the entire recruitment process for temporary positions and permanent appointments within the municipality's various operations, from needs analysis and advertising to selection, interviews, reference checks, and appointment.
• Supporting and guiding managers in recruitment matters to ensure accurate and high-quality recruitments.
• Writing, publishing, and marketing job advertisements, as well as working to attract the right competence.
• Coordinating and managing recruitment efforts together with colleagues and operation managers during larger volume recruitments, for example within the Education sector.
• Collaborating with managers, HR colleagues, and other internal and external actors to develop and ensure efficient recruitment processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• University education within the personnel and working life area, or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent.
• Experience in independently driving recruitment processes from needs analysis to appointment.
• Experience in a coordinating or organizing role.
• Good ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work with several parallel processes.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

• Experience with volume or mass recruitments.
• Experience working in the recruitment system Visma Recruit.
