At the Urban Environment Administration, approximately 1,000 people work with overall responsibility for Gothenburg's public spaces and collective accessibility. The administration is responsible for places that Gothenburg residents use and visit every day. Department of Operations and Maintenance is responsible for the planning, ordering, implementation, and follow-up of operations and maintenance. In collaboration with other departments, administrations, and companies, the department contributes to long-term planning, implementation, and follow-up of the city's operations and maintenance. The department consists of five business areas with associated units.

Business Area Cleaning and Winter Road Maintenance has the task of performing operations and maintenance on surfaces belonging to the Urban Environment Administration, other administrations, and companies. The assignment covers cleaning and winter road maintenance of surfaces, objects, and facilities within the own-regime area.

Job Responsibilities

The Urban Environment Administration is looking for 4 street cleaners, 2 to City Centre and 2 to Hisingen.

Your tasks as a street cleaner will include among other things

• Cleaning of streets, squares, parks, schools, and preschools
• Emptying of trash bins
• Cleaning of parking areas
• Weed control
• Winter road maintenance

Tasks involving hand-held machines, such as trimmers, are included. There are both routine rounds for emptying trash bins and picking up litter, cleaning around recycling stations, as well as cleaning during the many summer events in the city. The work is carried out in central Gothenburg and surroundings, and you will use a larger vehicle. To help you find destinations, you have a map base.

Qualifications

To apply for the position, you need

• Upper secondary education or education and experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Category B driving license

Meritorious knowledge

• Experience in cleaning or other experience that the employer deems equivalent
• Category BE driving license
• Category B driving license (if not met above)
• Experience and good knowledge of Gothenburg City Centre
• Experience and good knowledge of Lundby and Biskopsgården
