Länna School is a preschool to grade 3 school with an after-school center located in the countryside but close to the city, with a total of approximately 40 students. The school has easy access to nature, which enables various outdoor activities throughout all seasons of the year. As an employee, you will be involved in and take responsibility for creating a school with good conditions for learning. You will have close collaboration with other colleagues as we often work cross-subject and in mixed-age groups in our teaching. You will get to know all the students as we are a small community with the opportunity to build good relationships between adults and children. Each of us in the staff group is an important resource for the whole. For us, the students' safety, well-being, and participation are just as important as their development towards meeting knowledge requirements.

Description of Duties

The work includes responsibility for our after-school activities together with other after-school staff. You will participate in planning for the students' learning and social development and are expected to lead pedagogical activities in the after-school center, both indoors and outdoors. You will work closely with and get to know all the students and be involved in the entire school's operations.

The after-school center is open between 06:30–17:30.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a childcare education or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You have experience working in after-school care and good oral and written skills in Swedish, which is a prerequisite for being able to support the students' development and collaborate with colleagues and guardians.

It is meritorious if you have experience in sports and leading or participating in sports activities for children, as this can contribute to developing and inspiring the center's movement and leisure activities.

You are proactive and initiate activities that lead to results. You are flexible and adapt easily to changed conditions, while seeing opportunities in new situations. Furthermore, you have good teamwork skills, work smoothly with others, and contribute to a constructive work climate by listening and communicating clearly. Additionally, you are relationship-building and establish trusting contacts, while maintaining and developing your professional relationships.

Uppsala Municipality applies individual and differentiated salary setting according to the current collective agreement.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Permanent, start: 75% full-time. Start date: 2026-08-12. Fixed-term employment until 2027-06-30.
