Do you want to contribute to developing and ensuring the quality of care in Gnosjö Municipality?

Our municipality is characterized by the well-known "Gnosjö spirit." Here, entrepreneurship, helpfulness, and ingenuity show that anything is possible. At our workplace, communication lines are short, and there is a closeness that only a small municipality can offer. We offer you meaningful work in an exciting place.

About the Position

We are looking for you who want to take on the role of Medically Responsible for Rehabilitation (MAR) – a function that will be mandatory in all municipalities from July 1, 2026, according to the Health and Medical Services Act. The position is a combined role involving development tasks in conjunction with the MAR responsibilities.

MAR is a central quality and safety function in municipal health and medical care, responsible for creating support directed primarily towards rehabilitation activities, promoting high quality and adhering to current laws and regulations. You will report directly to our Quality Manager, where other specialist functions are located, such as MAS (Medically Responsible for Nursing), Development Manager, Board Secretary, and Head of Administration.

Responsibilities

As a Development Manager with MAR responsibilities, you will ensure that rehabilitation within the municipality's operations is appropriate, safe, and of high quality.

  • Develop, follow up on, and improve guidelines and routines related to rehabilitation, medical records, medical technology products, and assistive devices.
  • Conduct quality reviews, self-controls, and follow up on deviations.
  • Participate in investigations of serious incidents, including Lex Maria cases, in close collaboration with MAS, and collaborate in Lex Sarah investigations regarding medical technology products/assistive devices or rehabilitative measures when needed.
  • Act as an expert in the rehabilitation field and work with development tasks within health and medical care and social services, focusing on quality and development.
  • Initiate and drive improvement and development work within rehabilitation.
  • Contribute to ensuring that working methods and routines comply with current legislation and regulations.
  • Participate in procurement processes related to rehabilitation.

Collaboration and Cooperation

As a Development Manager, you will work closely with MAS, business managers, unit managers, and licensed personnel. You will also collaborate with the region's rehabilitation activities, health centers, specialist rehabilitation, psychiatry, and other external actors to create a cohesive rehabilitation chain.

MAS and MAR have a specific medical responsibility to report to the municipal board if a patient has suffered serious injury or illness in connection with care and treatment or is at risk of doing so. MAR participates in cooperation/incident councils in GGVV (neighboring municipalities) and in the county's MAS/MAR network. You will collaborate with relevant professions within health and medical care as well as social services.

Qualifications and Merits

We are looking for you who are a licensed physiotherapist or occupational therapist with experience in rehabilitation within municipal health and medical care. You have good knowledge of relevant legislation and good ability to work with key figures and produce analyses based on statistics.

We prefer that you have experience in quality work, creating and following up on routines and guidelines, as well as experience with Lex Maria investigations. You have very good skills in expressing yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Furthermore, experience in procurement and contract matters within health and medical care is meritorious.

Personal qualities: You are analytical, meticulous, and structured. You are pedagogical and can translate legal requirements and guidelines into practical working methods. The assignment requires that you are secure in your role and have an easy time collaborating with different professions within both health and medical care as well as social services.

A valid driver's license (Category B) is required for the position.

What We Offer

  • Salary: Monthly salary.
  • Employment type: Permanent position.
  • Working hours: Daytime.

About the Recruitment Process

As part of the recruitment process, we require extract from the criminal record register upon employment for positions involving work with children, students, the elderly, persons with disabilities, as well as leadership positions.

In connection with employment, you will need to prove your citizenship and your right to work in Sweden.
