In Sweden, Komfovent is a pure sales and service company, with production taking place in Lithuania.
The team in Gothenburg works closely with both the factory's service organization and customers across the country. Collaboration and well-being are important parts of the culture here; they regularly organize joint activities such as kickoffs. You will become part of a helpful team that is eager to share knowledge and support each other in daily work.
Responsibilities
As a Service Technician, you will work with troubleshooting, service, and support of ventilation units with integrated control systems. You handle incoming cases via phone, email, and case management system, supporting customers with questions regarding connection, settings, control functions, and troubleshooting. The work involves interpreting electrical diagrams, analyzing logs, reading protocols (e.g., Modbus/Bacnet), and connecting to the customer's system for remote diagnostics when necessary.
When problems require a physical visit, you go out to troubleshoot on-site, replace components, and verify functionality. You document performed actions directly in the system and are responsible for your cases from start to finish, including warranty and claims handling. The role also involves close contact with the factory in Lithuania regarding more advanced control issues and some work with the sale of spare parts.
The work is divided between support and field work, with more field trips during the winter. The environments vary, from construction sites to private homes, requiring technical confidence and good communication with different types of customers.
Technical support via phone, email, and remote connection
Troubleshooting in control systems, logs, and communication protocols
Component replacement and service work at customer sites
Handling service, warranty, and claims cases
Collaboration with the factory on advanced technical issues
Education, Experience, and Personal Qualities
Knowledge in control and regulation technology
Experience as an electrician, ventilation technician, or refrigeration technician is meritorious
Valid driver's license (Category B)
Fluent Swedish (written and spoken), good English skills (written and spoken)
To thrive in this role, you need to be calm, stable, and customer-oriented. You will encounter everyone from electricians on construction sites to private individuals in their homes, requiring you to adapt your approach and maintain a professional tone even when the customer is stressed.
You have an aptitude for creating structure, own your cases, and follow up until the customer is satisfied. Curiosity and a desire to understand the technology deeply are important, as is appreciating problem-solving and working both independently and with colleagues.
