Job Description

As a preschool teacher at Lagga Preschool, you play a key role in supporting, challenging, and stimulating children's learning by weaving together play, joy, movement, and science into a meaningful whole. Your approach should be characterized by a clear value base and the ability to create democratic, safe, and inclusive environments where children are involved and have influence. You easily establish good pedagogical relationships and see the unique needs of each child.

You actively contribute to developing and improving teaching together with engaged colleagues. The work is project-oriented and based on the curriculum. You use pedagogical documentation, analysis, and reflection as tools to ensure the quality of the activity and create an educational, creative teaching that starts from the children's interests, experiences, and needs. Overall, you build a practice based on scientific grounds and proven experience, where you also work from a systematic quality work perspective. You are the leader of your work team and are expected to contribute your competence as well as participate in pedagogical networks with the aim of constantly learning and developing.

We place great emphasis on learning environments being welcoming, exploratory, and inspiring play, movement, and curiosity. You are an important part of designing these environments, both indoors and outdoors. You work actively to create space for science, health, movement, and sustainable development in daily teaching.

We see good cooperation with guardians and close parent collaboration as crucial for the children's development and security.

Qualifications

A preschool teacher degree and license are required.

Experience and competence as described below are meritorious.

• Take responsibility for leading, planning, implementing, and following up on teaching according to the curriculum, with special focus on challenging, supporting, and stimulating children's development, play, and participation
• Base your work on and can create a practice grounded in scientific grounds and proven experience
• Have knowledge of and experience with systematic quality work within preschools
• Create inspiring, creative, and inviting learning environments and see the outdoor environment and nature as a natural part of teaching
• Encourage children's exploration, creativity, and participation
• Are team-oriented, solution-focused, see opportunities in changes, and are positive
• See pedagogical documentation and reflection as important tools for activity development together with children, colleagues, and guardians
• Have a basic positive attitude towards collegial learning and development
• Are curious, receptive, and have good relationship and care competence in meetings with both children and guardians, and value good cooperation
• Have good knowledge of language-developing methods
• Have a special commitment to working with sustainable development and science

It is meritorious if you have knowledge of TAKK (Total Communication) and special education.
