Do you want a varied and developmental job where you get to work close to the patient in a secure and competent team? Then you could be our next colleague on the new Surgical/Orthopaedic Department!
We are a department focused on orthopaedics, upper and lower gastroenterology, urology, as well as palliative/oncological care. We also offer surgical/orthopaedic day care and pre-operative clinics, which provides great variation in tasks and a broad competence base.
We care for patients aged 15 and up and have 26 beds. Our department is supported by a competent and experienced team consisting of nurses, assistant nurses, specialist nurses, and doctors. We are also a ULVE department, meaning we receive nursing students during their educational practicum. The work is team-based, where each team consists of one nurse and one to two assistant nurses.
Competence development is central to us. All employees receive an individual goal card that supports personal development according to our competence ladder, and we encourage taking responsibility for own development areas.

2 Positions Available
Job Description
As an assistant nurse (undersköterska) with us, you participate in patient-centered care work together in a team with a nurse. You help each other with patient care but also collaborate with other colleagues on our department. Here, you will get stimulating and varied work that gives you broad experience of all common tasks within our different specialties.
You work in pairs with a nurse and share responsibility for the care of patients. Your tasks include:
- Pre- and post-operative care
- Medication management
- Sampling
- Documentation in Cosmic
- Care planning and contact with relatives
- Collaboration with doctors and participation in ward rounds
- In an advanced phase, you lead and develop care work in the team.
You meet patients within acute and elective orthopaedics, surgery, urology, and palliative care – a complex and educational patient group. The work is technically advanced, varies in pace, and requires good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as an assistant nurse. If you have experience in your profession, it is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have a good attitude towards people, contribute to a good work environment, and always keep the patient in focus.
