Service trips are part of the public transport system and refer to transport assistance and medical trips carried out with service vehicles. With service trips, we want travel to be easy throughout Skåne, and for Skånetrafiken, it is central that customers with functional variations should have quality of life throughout their lives. Currently, we carry out approximately 6,700 trips every day, offering our customers a simple, safe, and accessible journey to their healthcare visits, work, or leisure activities. Service trips currently consist of approximately 130 employees, and within the business area, there are units for transport assistance, medical trips, business, customer-facing services, order reception, and traffic control.

The main task of the Traffic Control Center is to create efficient and proactive traffic management that anticipates delays and takes measures so that customers feel secure with their journey. Our goal is to create the world's best journey for our customers. You will work in new, beautiful premises at our headquarters in Hässleholm. You can easily travel there by train: 20 minutes from Älmhult and Kristianstad, 30 minutes from Lund, 45 minutes from Malmö, and one hour from Helsingborg.

Job Description

We now have the opportunity to welcome six new traffic controllers to our team! The positions include two permanent contracts and four fixed-term contracts running from September 2026 to September 2027. At our Traffic Control Center, no day is the same, making this a role for you who enjoy variety, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are a good team player.

The role involves responsibility for traffic control of the service trips managed by Skånetrafiken. You will work both operationally and proactively with traffic planning, focusing on ensuring that journeys are carried out efficiently, safely, and with high service standards. The work also includes follow-up and collaboration with drivers and transport companies to ensure quality and punctuality in traffic. In addition to working proactively, you as a traffic controller must be skilled in real-time planning, identify new solutions, and optimize routes as new trips arise. You will do this using our planning tools and IT systems.

Your duties also include handling deviation reporting to provide feedback to transport companies, passengers, and other stakeholders. As a traffic controller, the computer and telephone are your primary work tools. You meet and support our passengers and drivers via phone, chat messages, and email. Our new modern headquarters in Hässleholm offers space for flexible working methods and cross-functional meetings. Here, you work activity-based and choose your workstation based on your immediate needs. You have the opportunity to distribute your work week between remote work and on-site work. Our headquarters is located adjacent to the central station. You can easily travel here by train or bus from all over Skåne.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education in logistics for at least 2 years and preferably some years of work experience. Good familiarity with working with computers and telephones is a requirement for the position as they are our primary work tools. Additionally, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are advantageous. Previous experience in traffic or logistics planning is considered meritorious. Similarly, if you have worked in the service industry and/or with customer service over the phone.

This is a role for you who have a clear customer focus, a positive attitude, and can handle work with periodically high tempo. As a person, you have a good ability to balance multiple tasks in parallel while maintaining a pleasant and trustworthy approach to passengers and drivers you help in challenging situations. You have good communication skills and adapt easily to a changing environment. To thrive and succeed in the role, we also see that you have good planning skills and a natural aptitude for logical thinking.
