Ottobock Care in Sörmland currently has a total contract for orthopedic technical services in Sörmland with the main clients being Mälarsjukhuset in Eskilstuna, Kullbergska sjukhuset in Katrineholm, and Nyköping Hospital. We work with all types of orthopedic technical aids, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with healthcare through team cooperation. We operate at our orthopedic technical centers in Eskilstuna, Katrineholm, and Nyköping. We are facing an exciting phase of development as we have high ambitions to profile ourselves within orthopedic technology and continue to refine our operations.

About the Position

As an Orthopedic Technical Patient Receptionist with us, you work to improve the quality of life for people by enhancing their mobility and independence. Your main tasks involve meeting with patients to assess, adapt, and fit aids according to our prescription process. Initially, you will work with aids in the form of orthopedic shoes and insoles, with the opportunity to later build on your knowledge with additional aids adapted to needs, competence, and interest.

The position is a permanent employment located in Eskilstuna. Working hours are Monday - Thursday 07:00-16:30 and Fridays 07:00 - 12:30. The start date is immediate. We have a collective agreement, which means you are covered by collective agreement insurances. Travel within the scope of work may occur.

About You

We are looking for you who have completed upper secondary education and experience in care-related work and/or a completed education in orthopedic technology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious if you have experience working with shoes or insoles. You are proficient in both Swedish and English and have good computer skills.

You take independent responsibility for your tasks, drive your own processes, and ensure they are completed. In your work, you act proactively, independently, and turn ideas into practical action. When a problem arises, you focus your energy on finding solutions and maintain your focus on the goal. You have a good ability to adapt to new circumstances and can quickly change your approach. You see opportunities in change. At the same time, you are calm, stable, and controlled in stressful situations and can focus on the right things.
