As an occupational therapist at our Primary Care Rehabilitation unit in Region Värmland, you will have a meaningful role in an experienced team where knowledge is shared generously and where you will grow in your professional role. We offer a secure introduction with mentorship, a trust-based leadership, and opportunities for competence development. All of this to ensure that you thrive, develop, and make a difference for our patients.
Your Workplace
Primary Care Rehabilitation East consists of occupational therapy and physiotherapy clinics in Kristinehamn and Filipstad, as well as a small part of physiotherapy in Storfors. We also staff a primary care ward and primary care team with occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Currently, four occupational therapists, twelve physiotherapists, and one care administrator work with us.
Within Primary Care Rehabilitation, approximately 17 occupational therapists work at various clinics in the county today. Together, we hold regular network meetings to exchange experiences and develop our operations. We strive for high care quality throughout the entire unit, are flexible, and provide support to clinics where needed. Collaboration with other parts of healthcare is an important part of the work. At our unit, high accessibility, good quality, and a positive attitude towards patients are paramount.
As an employer, we believe it is important to give you the opportunity to thrive with us, which is why we offer health promotion and competence development among other things. We schedule one hour per week for your own physical training and offer a health allowance of 3,000 SEK per year. Primary Care Rehabilitation also invests in competence development for occupational therapists, including a career development model. Using a jointly created competence development plan as a starting point, we plan your continued career with us together.
Our leadership is based on developmental and trust-based leadership to ensure that both you as an individual and the organization develop in the best possible way. As an employee, this gives you great opportunities for influence, as well as more freedom and responsibility in your work.
Your Responsibilities
As an occupational therapist with us, you work to help patients achieve or maintain the best possible activity and functional capacity, increased independence, and good health. You meet care seekers with varying needs for examination, advice, assessment, and treatment. The work includes, among other things, activity assessments, hand rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, and cognitive rehabilitation.
We also meet many patients with mental health issues, often stress-related. Treatments are conducted both individually and in groups, and can be performed through physical visits and remote contacts when appropriate. We also collaborate closely with other professional groups, such as physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, and doctors. In addition to patient care, you are also an important part of our continuous improvement work.
The position involves a primary placement at either the Occupational Therapy Clinic in Kristinehamn or the Occupational Therapy Clinic in Filipstad, which can be determined based on your personal preferences. Since the unit has a shared responsibility for our clinics, travel between clinics may occur during work hours. The position may also include a smaller portion of work on the primary care ward in case of absence of the regular occupational therapist.
Your Skills and Competencies
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist. Meritorious is experience from work within primary care and further education in cognition and hand rehabilitation.
As an occupational therapist with us, you are engaged and take responsibility for your tasks, structure your own approach, and drive your processes forward. You adapt easily, are positive, and see opportunities in change. You see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, prioritize, and consider the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. You work well with other people and relate to them in a listening and smooth manner.
We are keen to find the right person for the position and will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Since travel may occur in the position, a Category B driver's license is required.
We look forward to your application!
