About the Department
The Service Department has the municipality's mandate to provide support functions to core operations, both strategically and operationally. The department is divided into three business areas:
- Property – responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's properties and facilities, strategic space supply, project management for new and renovation projects, supervision, maintenance, and development of Ale Municipality's external environment.
- Catering – prepares and serves meals in the municipality's core operations according to current laws and guidelines.
- Business Service – responsible for cleaning, caretaking, the municipality's vehicles, and IT.
In total, the department employs 240 staff members who all operate under the Service Board.
About the Workplace
The position is located at Skepplanda Swimming Hall, which belongs to the Park and Facilities Unit within the Property business area. Skepplanda Swimming Hall is Ale Municipality's swimming hall and also includes a sports hall. The operations cover the general public, schools, and associations, as well as senior, disability, and rehabilitation groups. Swim school activities and CPR training are conducted by the swimming hall's staff.
Our intention is for it to be pleasant, clean, and safe for visitors to come to our facility. In our operations, we focus on clean swimming, safety, and friendly treatment.
Job Responsibilities
The position includes lifeguarding, swim school instruction, and leading groups in water exercise. The duties also include kiosk sales, cleaning, and other common tasks within the scope of the swimming hall's operations. We offer a varied and independent job that requires you to take significant personal responsibility.
We operate six days a week, both during the day, evening, and weekends. Evening and weekend work is scheduled.
You will meet municipal operations, businesses, and private customers, where you are an important representative of our professional and service-oriented approach. Working days are varied and include both planned assignments and urgent service matters.
Qualifications
- Trained water gym instructor
- Trained swim teacher within SLS (Swedish Life Saving Society) or equivalent
- Several years of experience working in a swimming hall
Important qualities are that you are service-minded, flexible, self-initiating, and have good collaboration skills.
It is an advantage if you have experience leading Aufguss (sauna sessions).
Other
