Are you our next parish priest in Bodarne Parish Area?

We are looking for someone who, with enthusiasm and joy, wants to serve as parish priest in our area, as our current parish priest, after 10 years in our congregations, is moving on to a new position.

Bodarne Parish Area, located in the southernmost part of the Diocese of Strängnäs, is now seeking a new parish priest who will lead our community with a positive attitude and a genuine ability to see people.

The parish area consists of three congregations: Ramundeboda, Skagershult, and Finnerödja-Tived. We are an open and welcoming community where voluntary engagement is both significant and highly valued. We have four churches with associated parish halls. Bodarne Parish Area has approximately 20 employees. We also maintain excellent cooperation with the free churches in the municipality.

Located in Laxå Municipality, our area offers easy access to beautiful lakes for swimming and stunning nature, including Tiveden National Park.

• Wants to lead our church into the future through clarity and stability
• Values preaching and works to deepen faith within the parish area
• Has the ability to analyze and identify problems, find solutions, and adapt the organization when conditions change
• Leads our initiative to implement the Rainbow Key (Regnbågsnyckeln)

Since the role of parish priest in our area involves numerous contacts, both internally and externally, we place great emphasis on your personal qualities. You possess personal maturity, are confident in your leadership, see opportunities to inspire others, and have the ability to build relationships with people of all ages and backgrounds.

We are looking for a parish priest who not only leads the parish area but also wishes to be an integral part of it – by living, working, and sharing daily life with our congregants. We can assist with housing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ordained priest in the Church of Sweden
• Completed the Church of Sweden's education in ecclesiastical leadership (15 ECTS) or equivalent
• Substantial experience in parish work as an associate vicar or parish priest
• Experience working in a rural/low-density parish

Employment start date is negotiable. This is a full-time position; you must have access to your own car and hold a valid B-class driver's license.
