Are you an occupational therapist who enjoys rehabilitation and thrives on the diverse range of citizens you meet every day? Then short-term care at Tullhuset is the perfect fit for you! Apply today!

About the position

As an occupational therapist, you will be based in a department where you will collaborate closely with nurses, physiotherapists, doctors, and care staff to assess the citizen's needs and implement relevant occupational therapy interventions. This close team collaboration is the foundation of our entire operation. You will work based on each citizen's individual needs. With several admissions and discharges every month, you must be able to structure your work independently and remain flexible. There is extensive collaboration with other municipal and regional operations, such as home healthcare, special housing, authority services, and the university hospital. Home visits are carried out as needed together with district occupational therapists, which is why a driver's license is a requirement. Within the operation, there is one occupational therapist on each floor, totaling four, which facilitates dialogue and professional development among the team.

Examples of duties:

  • Collaborate with care staff by instructing and supervising in care and delegated healthcare tasks.
  • Assess the citizen's abilities and ongoing needs.
  • Drive rehabilitative interventions based on the citizen's prerequisites.
  • Team collaboration with nurses, physiotherapists, and care staff.
  • Actively participate in evaluating and developing the operation.

About the workplace

Tullhuset is a dedicated short-term care facility consisting of four floors with a total of 62 beds. We collaborate closely with Region Örebro County and the geriatric department, which contribute with medical and physiotherapy staffing. Therefore, we have access to 1 senior consultant, 2–3 resident/specialist doctors every weekday, as well as 2 physiotherapists and a rehab assistant, contributing to a unique operation with opportunities for professional development among the wide variety of citizens visiting the short-term care unit.
