Job Description

We are looking for nurses for the Healthcare Dispatch Center in Västmanland. As a nurse at the Dispatch Center, you receive calls regarding care and people in crisis from the emergency number 112. Do you want to work in a small team with a high sense of responsibility and a focus on the patient's best interest? With us, you will receive an individual introductory training at the start of your employment as a Dispatch Operator, with supervision and onboarding adapted to your needs. Collaboration with SOS Alarm, rescue services, police, and healthcare providers is also part of the work, as well as referrals to the correct level of care.

About the Workplace

The Healthcare Dispatch Center is responsible for medical prioritization and dispatching of ambulance resources in Västmanland.

We collaborate with the regions of Uppsala, Sörmland, and Värmland. Together, we serve approximately 1.3 million inhabitants. The centers are located in Uppsala, Västerås, Eskilstuna, and Karlstad. The Healthcare Dispatch Center is also present in the Region of Västra Götaland as we together help nearly a quarter of Sweden's population.

The Healthcare Dispatch Center Västmanland is part of the Ambulance Care within Region Västmanland.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with at least two years of experience.

For the position, it is required that you are empathetic, solution-oriented, and capable of making decisions based on the information you receive during the call. The tasks require that you master the Swedish language fully in both speech and writing. You also have good knowledge of English. Additional language skills are considered meritorious.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability. It is meritorious if you have experience from emergency care and/or telephone advice.

Terms of Employment

We offer a permanent position with start date upon agreement. Location in Västerås. The position is full-time with day/evening/night shifts. There is also the possibility of rotation towards ambulance/other activities.

We have a favorable working time model and provide introductory training when you start with us.
