Landscape Engineer at Culture, Leisure and Technical Administration in Falkenberg

The Culture, Leisure and Technical Administration is the municipality's third largest administration. We are 180 employees with a broad area of responsibility within property and projects, street and traffic, harbor, park and coast, facilities and bathing, open youth activities, association support, libraries, cultural school, museums and public art as well as consumer and budget counseling.

The Leisure and Public Environment Department consists of three units, of which park and coast is one. Within the department, two landscape engineers and two landscape architects are organized.

The Leisure and Public Environment Department is responsible for green planning for the operation, maintenance and development of public green spaces within the city. Such as green areas, parks, plantings, outdoor facilities such as bathing areas, playgrounds and skate parks, nature and coastal areas.

WORK ASSIGNMENTS

In your role as a landscape engineer, you will have exciting and varied work with tasks within the area of green outdoor environments, outdoor facilities such as bathing areas and playgrounds, natural land and urban planning. You support the units and together with the unit managers actively work to develop, improve and follow up on the operations.

As Falkenberg Municipality is in a development phase, you will be involved in the municipality's development projects of public land and you will also be a project manager in smaller projects within your own organization. You will be involved in our continued development work of our maintenance plan and maintenance map as well as follow-up of operations.

More of your main tasks are:

• work and involvement in budget work
• cost calculations projects
• volume calculations
• efficiencies and investments
• drive and participate in the creation of various steering documents for operations

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are university educated as a landscape engineer, garden engineer or have other education that the employer considers equivalent. You have documented experience of similar work and it is particularly meritorious if you have it within public administration. If you have experience of working on different types of procurements, such as direct procurements and the creation of framework agreements, this is meritorious.

As a person, you have a genuine interest and are knowledgeable in green area maintenance, plant knowledge and soil science. If you also have experience of GIS programs (QGIS) and AutoCAD, we see this as meritorious. You have experience of independently driving and leading projects in different stages, but just as important as being able to work independently is working together with others in a group. You are driven by creating new relationships and are also good at maintaining them where you have a good ability to cooperate.

You master the Swedish language well in both speech and writing and for the position, a B driving license (manual gearbox) is a requirement.
