We are looking for you who want to give our guests the best service and taste experience, and always serve the best cup!

As a shop assistant/barista, you have an important role where our guest is always in focus. You contribute to creating an oasis at Norrlands University Hospital, where our guests can find their daily luxury.

In addition to handling the coffee machine, grinder, and serving snacks, the job also consists of the daily operation of the Coffee Shop. Tasks include active sales, cash register work, orders, unpacking, product display, etc. We are also active on our Instagram @kahls.nus where you are expected to contribute.

We are currently looking for a new colleague as a shop assistant/barista for Kahls Coffee Shop at Norrlands University Hospital in Umeå. As a person, you are positive, engaged, driven, and social. You are not afraid to take initiative and responsibility.

About the position:

• Part-time employment of 15 hours/week. The employment extends until 2026-12-23. There is a great opportunity for increased hours during the period, and extension of the position may also be considered during spring 2027.
• The work shifts are scheduled as follows:

Monday 13:00–17:15

Tuesday 10:30–17:15

Wednesday 13:00–17:15

• Work shifts may change if the needs of the business change. An obligatory scheduled staff meeting takes place once a month after closing.
• The employment will begin in mid-August with a two-week training period (Monday–Friday).
• In addition to the contracted hours, additional work shifts/hours may be added as needed with short notice.
• The store's opening hours are weekdays Monday–Friday 06:15–17:15.
• Working alone may occur during certain periods and times.

At Kahls Coffee Shop Umeå NUS, we meet a multitude of guests daily, which contributes to a high tempo. We cater to our guests with knowledge about coffee, tea, licorice, and confectionery. We offer coffee and snack service in the store and have the hospital's best coffee! When our guests come inside the doors of Norrlands University Hospital, our cozy Coffee Shop stands out from the crowd.

Together with our guests, we have created an oasis at the hospital. In our Coffee Shop, the guest is always greeted by the smell of freshly ground coffee and tea in an inviting atmosphere. We focus on quality, and here there is a whole wall with different teas and coffee beans from all over the world, ready to be ground. The shelves are well-stocked with other products related to coffee, tea, chocolate, and licorice. Our staff is competent, attentive, friendly, and genuine.
