We are looking for someone who is positive, driven, and passionate about providing our customers with the best customer service in the industry. Customers in our stores should be met with friendly staff, good products at good prices, food inspiration, and interesting events.

As a Sales Manager, you are the face of the store and professionally provide our customers with the best service while spreading joy and energy. You are responsible for sales and service within your area of responsibility, which is groceries (colonial). The most central part of the role is to lead and coach the sales staff in their daily work so that all parts of the store present an attractive impression to the customer.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading the sales work within your area of responsibility
• Creating a sales-oriented and inspiring environment in the store
• Ensuring daily operations – staffing, product supply, price maintenance, etc.
• Monitoring the development of sales, budget, and margins
• Initiating, leading, and driving various initiatives to improve profitability and results
• Actively working on physical waste and shrinkage
• Being responsible for ongoing personnel work such as task distribution, competence development, onboarding of new employees, follow-up of routines and regulations, etc.
• Actively contributing to the implementation of Coop's sustainability policy

The position is permanent, 38 hours per week. Selection is ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Who are you?

• Experience and competence in retail sales are meritorious
• Experience in leading personnel is meritorious
• Basic leadership training is meritorious

We are looking for someone with a strong focus on sales and a strong drive to create profitability. You are creative and not afraid to try new paths in your work. Furthermore, you enjoy working in a constant state of development, seeing and acting from the perspective of the entire store. Other distinguishing characteristics should be social, sensitive, good communication skills, resilient, and the ability to make decisions.
