Bjärkegården Elderly Care Home is located in Sollebrunn and is a residence for both dementia patients and people with physical disabilities. The facility consists of seven departments with 66 resident places. Around Bjärkegården, there are several nice outdoor areas and green spaces. On one of the outdoor areas, we have free-range chickens during the summer, which is a much-appreciated feature. One of our departments also has a house cat.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

The work as a nursing assistant with us involves supporting our users in their daily lives by providing good individual care based on their needs. Our goal is to create a meaningful daily life for everyone living with us. You will primarily work towards good care, service, and social interaction, but also documentation and reporting according to current legislation and guidelines are part of the assignment. The work also includes delegated tasks from nurses and rehabilitation staff.

In the role of a nursing assistant, you are flexible and responsible, as your workdays involve everything from personal care and administering medication to sitting down and having a chat with someone who needs it. You also attend welcome conversations, create and update ongoing implementation plans, communicate with relatives, and document according to current legislation in our digital systems.

You will work scheduled shifts during the day, evening, and weekend, and you have the opportunity to influence your scheduling. Joint planning between the departments at Bjärkegården is a matter of course in accordance with Alingsås Municipality's staffing strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• is a trained nursing assistant with a protected professional title
• has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• lives in the local area or has access to a car or similar, as public transport to Sollebrunn is limited

Previous experience within elderly care is an advantage.

You work with the care recipient in focus and have a secure and professional approach. You take responsibility for your tasks, plan and prioritize your work in a structured manner, and work independently when needed. At the same time, you have good collaboration skills and contribute to a good work climate by sharing knowledge and supporting your colleagues.
