About the position
Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributing to a smooth daily routine. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted to the client's life, so tasks may vary depending on the workplace.
Our client is a man in his 70s living in Motala. He uses a wheelchair and has been diagnosed with MS. As his personal assistant, you will be his extended arm and help with most aspects of daily life, both inside and outside the home. His great interests are culture and art; sharing these interests is a big plus.
Who are you?
The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the client.
Requirements for the position:
- Good knowledge of Swedish
- Good physical condition and ability to perform transfers
Merits for the position:
- Handy and enjoy cooking
- Share the client's interests
Personal suitability will be given great weight.
Working hours, degree of employment, and salary
The current form of employment is "hourly employment," which means work on an as-needed basis with varying hours during the day, evening, and night.
Fixed hourly rate by agreement, and other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.
Start date: Immediately or by agreement.
