About the role
This is a consultancy assignment, meaning you will be employed by Academic Work and work on-site for our client in Landskrona. The assignment is full-time, on-site, starting 2026-10-01 and running until the end of March 2027, with very good prospects for extension or permanent hire.
In the role, internally referred to as Activity Leader, you will become a key person in the production of future marine vessels. You will be part of an open and supportive team that places great value on high-quality engineering work and an efficient production flow. The role involves close collaboration with production, design, and adjacent functions.
As the assignment is security-classified, Swedish citizenship and a passed security clearance are required before starting.
Key Responsibilities
You will combine operational leadership with coordination and technical problem-solving on the shop floor. Your main tasks include:
- Leading daily work: Coordinate, distribute, and drive practical work forward within your production area.
- Ensuring drawing compliance: Review and ensure that all manufacturing activities are carried out strictly according to current drawings, instructions, and quality requirements.
- Coordinating resources: Plan and follow up on production activities continuously to create an efficient and disruption-free production flow.
- Acting as a technical contact point: Support the production team with practical issues and solve technical challenges together with adjacent functions.
- Collaborating with other functions to resolve production challenges.
We are looking for you who
We believe that your technical understanding and ability to collaborate weigh the heaviest. Knowledge and craftsmanship skills can come from various types of heavy projects and industries – the most important thing is your practical understanding on the shop floor.
- Fluent communication skills in Swedish, both verbal and written, as the role involves daily leadership and technical documentation.
- Relevant technical background in steel construction, welding, forging, or sheet metal work (e.g., from the workshop industry, heavy manufacturing, construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects).
- Advanced practical knowledge of reading, interpreting, and working from technical drawings.
- Good practical knowledge of leading, coordinating, or organizing work in a production environment (e.g., as a foreman, team leader, production manager, or similar).
- Ability to plan and prioritize in a changing environment.
- Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance according to current regulations.
It is an advantage if you have
- Good practical knowledge of complex or welded steel structures (preferably within the workshop industry or heavy manufacturing).
- Basic or good knowledge of project management or larger-scale production planning/project management.
