Do you want to make a real impact and create change? Here you contribute to creating security for people and societies. What you do matters.
Your Role
At Saab Naval, we are strengthening our capabilities in future energy solutions and are therefore looking for a Systems Engineer for a new role in the organization. Here you will have the opportunity to help shape future technical solutions for marine applications in an area that is developing rapidly and gaining increasing importance.
As a Systems Engineer within battery systems, you will become part of our work developing robust, safe, and high-performance solutions for advanced marine systems. You will work with the entire development chain, from requirements and system architecture to integration, verification, and further development of our solutions.
In this role, you will work with modern battery architectures, system design, and integration concepts at the "Module-to-Pack" and "Pack-to-System" levels, in close collaboration with specialists in several technical areas.
Your responsibilities will include, among other things:
- Develop and manage system requirements for battery systems
- Develop system architecture, technical concepts, and interface definitions
- Conduct technical analyses and investigations for new and existing systems
- Contribute to system integration as well as verification and validation of system solutions
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and provide technical support in development projects
The role offers excellent opportunities to influence technical solutions and contribute to the development of future marine systems in a business where long-term perspective, collaboration, and technical development are in focus.
Your Profile
We are looking for you who thrive in complex development environments where collaboration and a systems perspective are central.
You have:
- A Master of Science degree in, for example, electrical engineering, technical physics, energy systems, or equivalent
- Experience in development, integration, or systems work related to battery systems
- Experience in systems development, system integration, or product development
- Ability to translate requirements into technical solutions and system architectures
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Modern battery architectures
- Electrification, power systems, or energy systems
- Requirements management and Systems Engineering methodology
- Functional safety, system safety, or verification and validation
- Marine, automotive, or other safety-critical systems
As a person, you are analytical, structured, and have the ability to see the big picture while being able to dive into technical details when needed.
The position requires that you undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
Please note that selection and feedback will begin after the summer holidays, which means the process may take slightly longer than usual.
What You Will Be Part Of
Discover endless possibilities. Take on challenges, create smart innovations, and upgrade your skills. This is a place for clever thinkers, brave pioneers, and everyone in between. Together we achieve the extraordinary; everyone brings their unique perspective. Every contribution counts.
