Stockholm District Court is Sweden's largest district court with approximately 300 employees. Our organization consists of a diversity of competencies, where every employee plays a crucial role in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels. We often handle extensive and widely noticed cases.
The court is divided into five judicial divisions and one administrative division. Divisions 1–4 are general divisions handling criminal cases, civil cases, and other matters. Division 5 is the Patent and Market Court, responsible for intellectual property, marketing law, and competition law. On the judicial divisions, judges, patent attorneys, court clerks, prosecutors, preparatory lawyers, and court case handlers work. The court also has a special unit for handling civil cases, a so-called fast-track for civil cases. The administrative division is responsible for finance, IT, HR, registration, archives, library, communication, security, service, and cleaning.
