The Swedish Fortifications Agency is looking for a Maintenance Technician for the Vårsta operations district, where we work with supervision and maintenance of our properties in southern Stockholm. If you want to be part of our growth, we welcome your application!

Your daily work – contribute to Sweden's defense capability

Region East's operations are carried out in Stockholm and Gotland counties. This position is located in the Vårsta operations district and covers a geographical area in southern Stockholm. Currently, there are six maintenance technicians based in the district.

You will work independently with the operation and maintenance of our property portfolio. This involves supervision and maintenance, self-inspections of facilities, SBA (Safety, Health, and Environment) work, as well as corrective and planned maintenance of buildings, technical installations, and associated infrastructure such as heating, electrical, water, and air handling systems, as well as control, regulation, and monitoring systems. The role includes frequent contact with customers and suppliers, and working both individually and in teams. On-call duty may be included in the position. Travel within the district is part of the job.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have

• Maintenance technical education at least at the upper secondary level, or other education we consider equivalent.
• Several years of work experience in one of the following areas: electrical, control systems, piping, property operations, ventilation, or refrigeration plants.
• Good ability to troubleshoot building technical installations and perform repairs.
• Good knowledge of administrative IT support systems.
• Good proficiency in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Class B driver's license.

The following are meritorious

• Work experience in independently handling service orders, fault reports, or operational optimization, as well as performing troubleshooting in an operational environment.
• Work experience or competence in electrical work, for example as a boiler operator.
• Work experience or competence in backup power.
• Electrical authorization AL or B.
• Knowledge of water purification or plumbing (HVAC/plumbing).
• SBA training or experience in handling flammable substances.
• Experience from working in the defense sector.
• Experience in project work.
• Experience in property maintenance.
• Locksmith skills.

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment and may start with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be war-placed (assigned to specific duties in case of war). The place of work is Vårsta. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
