At Ostbutiken Odengatan, we are passionate about high-quality ingredients, personal service, and customer care. We have a small shop on the ground floor that will be expanded during the summer to include simpler food service. Inside, in our larger kitchen, we prepare meals for takeaway at the shop, for catering, and for dinners served in our dining room and our private dining room (chambre séparée) located beneath the shop.

We import most of our products ourselves, directly from small-scale producers who pour their hearts into their craft—values we proudly pass on to our customers.

We are a business built on routine and efficiency, always putting the customer first. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on performance, where you can drive yourself and lead others. You should appreciate structure, take responsibility for the whole picture, and not leave problems for the next person to solve.

I cannot stress enough how much we enjoy working in this industry—it is entertaining and fun. We choose the restaurant and retail life over office work any day. Customer interaction is the absolute core of our business, and you must enjoy taking care of guests in our intimate setting.

We are seeking someone with a few years to up to a dozen years of experience in dining room service. Working in our dining room differs from traditional restaurant service because we only host one party of 10–30 guests at a time. You will therefore be a key player in the dining room, expected to manage the entire party from start to finish—from mise en place to the final farewell—without losing pace or attention to detail.

The dining room is open until midnight. You will work in shifts, including every other weekend and evenings, making this role ideal if you are a night person.
