Are you a skilled writer looking to develop within SEO, digital content, and organic growth?

Birger is looking for a Writer & SEO Intern who wants to help build the content for a new digital brand in the construction and renovation industry.

This role is perfect for you if you enjoy writing clear, engaging, and informative texts, but are also curious about how content can be used to create visibility in Google, attract the right target audience, and contribute to new business opportunities.

You will work practically with researching, writing, publishing, and optimizing content for the website. This may involve articles, guides, service pages, local landing pages, and other content that helps homeowners understand different types of construction and renovation projects.

This is not an internship where you sit by and observe. You will work with concrete tasks, take responsibility for your own texts, and see how your work impacts ranking, traffic, and customer inquiries.

What you will do

• Research and write articles, guides, and web pages
• Create SEO-optimized content based on keywords and search intent
• Write service pages and local landing pages for different locations
• Transform complex information into clear and easy-to-understand content
• Publish and update texts in the website's CMS
• Work with headlines, intros, metadata, and text structure
• Ensure consistent tone and high linguistic quality
• Fact-check and quality-assure content
• Optimize existing texts based on ranking, traffic, and user behavior
• Analyze competitors' content and identify new topics
• Work with internal linking and content clusters
• Contribute to editorial plans and long-term content strategies
• Use AI tools as support for research, structure, and content production
• Collaborate with people within SEO, web development, and digital marketing

We are looking for someone who

Very good Swedish skills in both speech and writing are required for the role.

Advantageous but not required:

• Studies in journalism, communication, media, language, marketing, or similar
• Experience in copywriting, editorial writing, or web content
• Experience writing articles, guides, or information pages
• Basic knowledge of SEO or keyword analysis
• Experience with Google Search Console, Ahrefs, or Semrush
• Experience with WordPress, Webflow, or other CMS platforms
• Experience with AI tools for research and content production
• Basic understanding of UX, conversion, and web structure
• Interest in construction, renovation, housing, or consumer issues
