Markverkstad Tofta is in the startup phase for a new capability in medical technology. The position is located in Tofta and is part of Markverkstad Syd, which operates in Gotland, Karlskrona, Ronneby, and Revingehed. This new capability means that we will be able to perform maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology equipment and deliver technical system support where requested. This involves maintenance in the form of supervision, repairs, manufacturing, dismantling/scraping, installations, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. The majority of the work takes place in Gotland but also in other locations in the country.

In the startup phase, the position requires mandatory travel to Markverkstad Gothenburg, as these trips are included in the internal training package. Thereafter, the position involves periodic travel to other locations.

Main Responsibilities

The tasks consist mainly of preventive and corrective maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' medical technology equipment, including but not limited to the following.

  • Maintenance of medical technology products
  • Documentation in the Swedish Armed Forces' support system for material maintenance
  • Conducting basic training and providing technical support in the area
  • Other common tasks within the unit

Examples of equipment handled:

Monitoring monitors, defibrillators, infusion and volumetric pumps, autoclaves, dish and disinfection machines, pressure reducing valves, ventilators, suction pumps, etc.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • At least a completed and approved upper secondary education with a technical or electrical focus, or competence acquired through professional experience assessed as equivalent by the employer
  • Previous experience of several years of practical service and maintenance work on technical equipment
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
  • Computer literacy with knowledge of e.g., Word and Excel
  • At least a manual B driver's license

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment. Furthermore, we are looking for you who have a positive attitude and want to help develop the medical technology maintenance operations within the Swedish Armed Forces.
